Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam and Transfer to Mpanda

• Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
• Fly from Dar es Salaam to Mpanda (departure at 07:00 am, arrival at 08:45 am).
• Vehicle transfer from Mpanda to the lodge with game drive en route.
• Welcome by staff, followed by lunch at the lodge.
• Afternoon/early evening game drive in Katavi National Park.
• Evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Game Drives in Katavi National Park

• Breakfast at the lodge.
• Morning game drive in Katavi National Park.
• Return to the lodge for brunch/early lunch.
• Leisure time in the afternoon or optional activities (night game drive or walking safari).
• Evening sundowner, dinner, and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Katavi National Park

• Early breakfast followed by a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.
• Explore various wildlife concentrations including hippos, crocodiles, and buffaloes.
• Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for evening sundowners, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Mahale Mountains

• Breakfast at the lodge.
• Transfer from Katavi to Kigoma by vehicle (approx. travel time not specified).
• Dhow boat transfer from Kigoma to Lukoma village (approx. 45 minutes).
• Arrive at Mahale Mountains National Park; enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Mahale

• Full day dedicated to chimpanzee tracking within Mahale Mountains National Park.
• Observe chimpanzees as they forage for food; learn about their behavior and habitat.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Boat Safari

• Morning chimpanzee trekking after breakfast.
• Return for hot lunch at the lodge.
• Afternoon boat safari on Lake Tanganyika; see hippos and try local fishing methods.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Kigoma

• Morning chimpanzee tracking after breakfast.
• Return for hot lunch before transferring back via dhow boat to Lukoma village then vehicle transfer to Kigoma Hilltop Lodge or similar accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Gombe Stream National Park

• After breakfast, transfer to Kibirizi port for a private boat ride (2 hours) to Gombe Stream National Park.
• Arrival pick-up and transfer to camp; enjoy lunch upon arrival.
• Afternoon chimpanzee tracking in Gombe Forest; dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Tracking in Gombe

• Start early morning chimpanzee tracking session (beginning around 08:30 am).
• Explore other primate species such as velvet monkeys and baboons; visit Kakombe Waterfalls or climb Jane’s Peak if time allows.
• Meals provided throughout the day with an overnight stay at Gombe Rest House.

Day 10: Departure from Gombe to Kigoma/Dar es Salaam

• After breakfast, pick up and transfer by boat back to Kigoma town.
• Upon arrival, transfer to Kigoma airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam (departure at 10:10 am, arrival at 12:20 pm).
